The name of “il Castoro” came up as a good option, and we selected this despite it being a solid 90 minute plus drive from home. We weren’t disappointed! Service was exemplary and very friendly and welcoming. Everything was home made, of fresh local ingredients, and reflected the fresh, simple philosophy of the regional mountain cuisine. Despite feeling as though we were out staying our welcome over a very protracted lunch, as a surprising number of diners flowed in and out for a Wednesday lunchtime meal, we were always made to feel most welcome by our gracious host. Also the best potatoes any of us had ever eaten! Worth a trip to Italy for these alone! A fabulous meal and experience, I shall certainly return!
Some locals took us to this place and wow, wow, wow! It was fantastic. Good food, good wine and not too pricey. Everything you'd want to eat and populated with nothing but locals. You know it's good then!
On a cold and rainy day we met this restaurant. you eat well, the first are abundant and homemade. the panata and fried lamb cutlet is fantastic. We drank a new wine from the house that I won't forget. the fireplace on was a viewer and heated us in a day full of winter. the owner recommended us well and at the end of the meal we had a chat in the company of his homemade gentian. I don't want to tell you that's to try. If we have to get back here, I'll definitely stop at chaos.
Five stars deserved. all very good but ravioli with truffle and porcini are competition. in addition to the quality also the portions are generous. Good.
