Here's our number one tip: If you've just finished watching a movie at the excellent Palace Cinema and want to relax and chat, head over to Arthur Radley a few doors down at 237 Whitehorse Road. Don't be surprised to see a shoe outside - it's all part of the charm! Despite being a popular spot filled with people, Arthur Radley manages to maintain a laid-back atmosphere.
We really liked the steak sandwiches and fries! My partner thought it would have been better without arugula, but I actually enjoyed the addition.
I recently had a wonderful lunch at this restaurant with my friends for a surprise birthday celebration. The moment you step inside, you are greeted with a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. The staff, led by the friendly Anna, were fantastic and made us feel right at home. We tried the specials of the day, including a delicious Fish Pie with a creamy sauce and a flavorful mushroom risotto with porcini, swiss brown, and taleggio. Another friend enjoyed the pappardelle with slow-cooked beef cheek. Huge shoutout to the skilled chef Janeece for consistently creating such delicious dishes. This restaurant is perfect for any occasion, whether it's lunch, dinner, or even just a drink after catching a movie at the nearby cinema. Thank you to all the lovely ladies for a fantastic experience.
Thought I’d try this place for breakfast and wasn’t disappointed. There weren’t too many people surprisingly given how good the food was. I ordered just a simple scrambled eggs with mushrooms and grilled tomato which was fantastic, probably one of the best I’ve had recently. The coffee was good as we’ll. I’ll definitely be back again.
We decided to have our bookclub Christmas/end-of-year celebration here at the recommendation of a member who had previously dined at Arthur Radley. Of course as a bookclub, we loved the idea of going to a book themed restaurant! We were not disappointed! Everyone enjoyed their meals, the wine was great and the service couldn’t be faulted! I had the fish special; a rockling fillet with caramelised onion tart. I wanted to lick the plate clean! The atmosphere is lovely. Homely, comfortable and not pretentious. Lovely bookish touches and the TKAMB theme throughout. We will return!
