Eating at Bakmie Kitchen is like eating in the owners lounge room. We were a party of 8 and when we walked in there were a few families eating and the owner was holding her young daughter. The son was down the back playing a very loud video game showing great excitement when he was victorious. We were brought wine glasses, water and water glasses, complimentary rice crackers and pork crackling were supplied. We ordered 5 nasi gorengs and they came out individually with a break in between while each serve was cooked. Same thing happened with the other orders which meant we were all eating at separate times. The noodles are made in-house and the food was excellent – there were only two desserts available an agar agar jelly and a lychee jelly – we didn’t try.Seems to be more takeaway oriented than sit-down – definitely need to work on timing of meals.Prices are very reasonable and BYO is available without surcharge.
I decided to go out for a night in Busselton and it was the perfect opportunity to finally try dinner at Laundry 43.
Tasty cocktails and beautiful presentation of sharing plates make this restaurant a great choice. The flavors and ingredients in the dishes complement each other perfectly.
I had a pleasant experience at this restaurant. I went for drinks and bar snacks, which were delicious. I plan on returning, although I hope the service is quicker next time.
