Heritage Indian Restaurant - Boroondara

We first experienced Heritage when we ordered delivery to our old address in East Kew. We were delighted with the food and gutted to learn later that they would no longer be delivering to our address. Lucky for us, we have since moved to Heidelberg Heights, and now, not only will they deliver to us, but they are now both our local and easily our favourite Indian restaurant in Melbourne.We've tried several dishes, including desserts and dined in a couple of times. Staff are always very friendly, and the food never disappoints. It is always perfectly balanced and appropriately spicy. I like my food Indian hot, and I can definitely get it that way here.

Indian restaurants can literally be a dime a dozen especially in Melbourne where there is no shortage of this style of restaurant. Heritage is a cut above the average. It is at the bottom end of the Burgundy street strip which means you can always get a car park. The food is basically North Indian and can be fiery but the chef is always happy to tone down the heat. We eat there once a week because the food is absolutely reliable it caters for carnivores and vegetarians and there is a wide array of really good food at rock-bottom prices. it is a small treasure in a strip with a lot of competition. Just don't tell too many people about it.

When I opened the door I smelt fresh spices being grounded. If you really do enjoy hot and wish other Indian restaurants had it hotter then come here. Nice and hot and you can still enjoy the taste. Very attentive staff and great food.

Enjoyable dining for a taste of Indian. Lots of choices to choose from and all plates tasted great. Cater from the mild to hot for those who choose to try. Certainly on the try again list.
