GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!But unfortunately the food for us didn't cut the grade. Tasteless and TOO MUCH SALT.Moussaka lacked flavor, just eggplant with cheese Calamari was stringy, I nearly chocked on it.Saganaki should be served soft and slightly ozzie and as it cools it hardens, this arrived rubbery and soooo salty. We were so disappointed. I have eaten better Greek food than this, it is a real shame because I think this resturant would have been great in its day. Their lease apparently runs out in Feb 2018 hence why maybe they haven't upgraded. They are such a lovely family and I wish them well but I think it's timely, like Poseidon it's time to go back to the sea
We walked in without a reservation on a Thursday night and it was filling up quickly. We were seated quickly, given a menu and water. A good start from a cheerful waitress, who explaied each dish as she brought it out. The range of food is fairly extensive. Our entree of meatballs in a tomato sauce were excellent and the dips and bread were very moreish. Our mains chicken and lamb gyros were succulent and plentiful. No nasty offcuts here. The buckwheat salad was one of the best salads we have ever eaten. We had a LL&B to drink. The wine seemed a bit expensive by the glass. We thought the food was well priced and there is a children's menu which looked pretty good. We will definately be back there again. All of the plates of food that went past us looked really good.
Nice place a little expensive but worth the money , nice Greek food and a good little out door area for summer , worth a look
Dined here on Friday night. Had the banquet which was delicious. Service was very good, staff attentive and atmosphere was nice. The only negative was the pricing. I thought it was a little overpriced. Overall, a good night out.
We tried this restaurant based on a recommendation from an online, supposedly reliable website. We are heading to Greece shortly and I remember from years ago genuine Greek food is good value. The whole experience last night in this restaurant was negative. The decor and the interior fit out was more like Highway Roadhouse than a restaurant. We shared a calamari entrée – $18 for six little rings! We then ordered moussaka and a chicken and lamb Giro mix which was supposed to be 300 g of meat for the princely sum of $33 without any vegetables. The lamb was fatty and gristley and the Lamb Ragu in the moussaka was also fatty. In addition this restaurant uses those appalling small ISO wine tasting glasses for both reds and whites which globally most cellar doors and wine shows have discarded because they do not allow the true aromas of red wine in particular to be featured. When we enquired as to whether there were any alternative class sizes the answer was no. The service was efficient but matter-of-fact and no one came up to us and asked us for example – "is everything okay or how was it?"There are obviously heaps of Greek restaurant alternatives in Melbourne; I would give this one a big miss!
