Feedback gevenCame here for a friends birthday and was quite impressed except for the haloumi chips. $12 for 6 and they are smaller than a pinky. Very steep. Chicken burger was great, good size. Standard type fries, nothing to rave about. Service was very good and great selection of beers. Awesome menu with a really good variety I would return.
This restaurant is fairly new and they are trying hard. The day we were there it was fairly quiet which is a shame as the food was good and deserves to be better known. The place is a little stark - lots of hard services and quite dark. The staff are pleasant and the beers are interesting.
A very funky little restaurant in Balwyn that has some boutique beers and very family menus for a casual night out with the family. Great atmosphere and friendly staff who even offered a sample taste of the beer before selection. Good value for money to.
But a typical quirky Melbourne restaurant. Great food, beer - lots of boutique beers available on tap and in the bottle - and excellent friendly service. Try it!
This great little establishment is in a little known strip of shops, but once you find it, you will back again and again. We popped in tonight in order to try something new and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is little but has a great feel to it. The guys that run the place are friendly and helpful and although the place is family friendly, you do not feel like you are at Smorgy's.Firstly I will start off by saying that all the ingredients, food and drinks are locally sourced and come from within Victoria. They have a great range of local craft beers and ciders, and even organic sodas etc. While we ordered the kids sliders and a fancy smancy cheese toasty (which they loved!), my husband and I were a bit more adventurous ordering 4 or 5 things off the menu to share. All the ingredients were fresh and flavoursome, and everything tasted great. While my husbands favourite was the antipasto platter, mine was the cauliflower with garlic slithers and pomegranate molasses. The pork belly salad was also flavoursome and looked gorgeous, with the only thing that could of made it even better would have been if the pork belly skin was crispy. Desserts were also to good to pass up and were so beautiful that we devoured them before we thought to take a photo. As a side note, the staff were very considerate of my sons peanut allergy. To boot, the bill was very reasonable. Our only regret..........Is that we have not found this restaurant sooner. See you again soon St Barry!
