Good food good service I have ate there several times and I will continue to eat there because I have always enjoyed the food and the people working there
Food was great and service was great also. Nice atmosphere and enjoyable lunch spot
Okay so before I say this... I grew up in Jersey just outside of NYC heavily influenced by good Italian eats and such. When I heard about the ravings of Monjunis I figured why not . Well I can confidently say this place has... terrible italian food. First the marinara sauce that 's is apparently gods grace here.... it 's gross. Marinara should never... NEVER... be this sweet. It was like eating liquid tomato candy... disgusting. Apparently it 's the bees knees to overcook pasta here too... like to the point of instant mush in the mouth. I had a Chicken Parmesan while my Fiance had the more traditional noodle dish of straight spaghetti with meat sauce. I tried both... equally disappointing. The closest I found to halfway decent italian is Giuseppes Pastacafe on Line Avenue... go there instead. Service was fine I guess and the decor... kind of a weird 1950s diner vibe... which again... is a Jersey thing so I speak from that perspective. I guess if you 're from the local area... and like everything else in the south enjoy overly sweet... then sure. Go ahead and try. But if you 're an out of stater... particularly from an area with a heavy italian culture..... this place blows.
We lived in Bossier City over 24 years ago and my favorite place for Italian was Monjuni's. We visited the Airline location for Monjuni's again the other day when in Bossier City and were thrilled nothing was changed in the delicious taste of our favorite food there. I LOVE the sweet sauce and sausage spaghetti. The bread is perfect to dip and eat with your sauce. I love the vibe, the decor, everything about Monjuni's I love. Our server was very sweet. We'd go back in a heartbeat the next time we get back to Louisiana. SO much love in that sauce I bought two bottles to bring back home to Florida with me!!
