This review is mostly focused on the service. Southie seems to have a reputation for not being friendly to people who look like the reviewer, but they choose to remain positive and still visit the restaurant despite unpleasant experiences. During a recent visit to get a coffee before a nail appointment, the reviewer felt ignored by the staff member behind the counter, who served two men before acknowledging their existence. The reviewer waited for several minutes without any interaction or acknowledgment, even when another colleague returned from break. The staff member's lack of attention and rudeness made the reviewer feel small and invisible, prompting them to vow to never return to the restaurant. They gave the restaurant two stars, citing support for the food industry during the COVID-19 pandemic as the reason for the rating.

The staff at this restaurant, led by Yes Ha, is amazing. They make sure that all customers feel welcome and valued. The menu has many options and the atmosphere is perfect for both working and relaxing while people-watching. I will definitely be coming back!

Ordered the tomato and egg breakfast roll. Was given a bacon egg and cheese roll. I don’t eat pork!!!! When I tried to call the store, the answering machine said they were closed temporarily and they “sometimes” check their main office number if I want to leave a message there. Maybe just let your guest know you’re sold out of an item instead of assuming they won’t care about another sandwich.

Small portion, my coworker got the wrong order, and many things online are no longer offered in store like the fig and brie baguette.
