The granita and cotton candy treats were incredibly entertaining! The food was also full of flavor and absolutely delicious, with the tuna tostada standing out as particularly impressive. We'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this spot to anyone in search of great food and drinks in the city!
I always have a great time at Lolita’s. Generally, their cocktails are exceptional, but this visit, I found the house margarita to be a bit off. The taste just wasn’t quite right. The indoor atmosphere is unique and somewhat eerie, especially if you’re not a fan of skulls and the red-and-black color scheme. Our server was very polite and attentive, assisting us with our order when we found ourselves a bit confused. Be sure to make reservations, as getting a table on weekends can be quite difficult. We also checked out their patio, which was quite crowded, and given that it was a hot day, we were glad we chose to stay indoors.
The chicken quesadillas we had as appetizers were fantastic, packed with chicken, and I highly recommend them. However, the grilled street corn was a bit too creamy with mayo and cheese for my taste, making it quite mushy. The grilled steak tacos were tasty but a bit saltier than I would have preferred. Inside, the ambiance was dark and candlelit, creating a cozy atmosphere, but the outdoor patio seating was charming and right on the waterfront. For vegetarian options, there were a few appetizers available, like guacamole, artichoke empanadas, and street corn.
What truly distinguishes Lolita is its two dining areas. While both indoor and outdoor spaces have their own unique appeal, the outdoor area, complete with a riverside bar, is my personal favorite, capturing the essence of summer in Boston perfectly. Don’t forget to bring your ID for a seamless dining experience. Lolita Fort Point is truly a delightful summer retreat, combining elevated Mexican cuisine with an energetic atmosphere.
We had an incredible experience from the moment we descended the stairs to the moment we left. Securing patio seating right by the water can be challenging, but we anticipated that. Reservations for indoor seating are a must, especially on Thursday evenings. The atmosphere is dimly lit and moody, but not overly so, and the music is just right—it will make you want to dance! The service was exceptional, beginning with a palate cleanser and ending with a complimentary cotton candy treat, which added an element of fun. The dishes were small but packed with flavor. I highly recommend this place!
