Mezcala Tex Mex Grill - Boston

We went here for the first night of my bachelorette party before going out for drinks and dancing at the Bell in Hand. I highly recommend this restaurant as a pre-night out dinner place for anyone going out in the Fanueil Hall/financial district area.

We arrived on time for our reservation but our other guests were delayed almost an hour as a result of a mechanical issue on their whale watching trip. There was no obvious host or manager to speak to but we finally found someone, explained the situation and they were very accommodating so we sat at our table for some chips and salsa and drinks until our family arrived. I have heard that besides ice, menus can be the biggest source of bacteria in a restaurant and these menus were so dirty the pages stuck together. They were grimy and in need of replacement or a good cleaning. Food is typical Tex -Mex. I had Baja Fish Tacos and they were very tasty. Overall not a bad experience but nothing very special.

Love this spot for great tasting and good value Mexican food right in Fanieul Hall!

Seat bench cushions were torn. the food was okay. certainly nothing to recommend.

Food and service were very good. Great little place to enjoy Tex mex cuisine.
