Decent place and pretty good food. The dosa was one of the best I tried in Boston. Definitely order the Tawa chicken and Rumali roti. The server was very kind as he specially made Mango Lassi just for us even though they ran out of it.
Vaanga is one of our top finds in Boston with a very high quality-per-dollar ratio. This unassuming, un-prepossessing takeout place has a few tables, with eclectic and interesting decor featuring South Indian artifacts and curios. The real awesomeness of the place is in the taste of the food and obvious mastery of the chefs. If you?re looking for vegan keto, this is the place-really tasty vegetarian protein options.
We ordered fried idly, superstar Dosa, LET'S MASALA THE POORI, and samosa wrap. Must try their fried idly and Superstar Dosa Poori masala was also nice in taste. I really hated samosa wrap. It was like samosa chat in a wrap. They were very generous in putting curd into that wrap which made it soggy. and didn't taste well. For drinks we had filter coffee and mango lassi, both drinks were amazing. It is a self-service restaurant. Must visit this place if you are in Downtown Boston. I will definitely visit this place. The quantity of food makes the money spent worthwhile.Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian options.
The masala dosa was amazing!! The dahi puri and paneer kathi roll w/masala fries were really good too. We got the vada pav as well but it wasn't that great. Overall, a decent place with good variety on the menu. I will say you can't go wrong with any of the south Indian dishes.
