I ordered a western burger, which arrived overcooked on a cold bun, accompanied by onion rings that were decent yet likely frozen. My husband had a three-piece chicken meal with fries; while the leg and thigh were tasty, the breast was quite dry. For a total of $65, we felt we could have found better meals elsewhere, although options nearby are limited. The food is your standard bar fare—cheap, frozen, deep-fried items that feel overpriced but will suffice in a pinch. It’s worth noting that they do offer some dinners with better side options, and once again, the service was excellent. Still, you can only expect so much from quick-prep products.
Our waitress was fantastic throughout our entire visit. However, we encountered an issue with a food allergy at our table. We had to send a chicken wrap back due to the presence of eggs in the sauce. The kitchen returned it, but it appeared they had simply switched the wraps, scraping off some of the sauce while keeping the same filling, which still contained sauce. Instead of preparing a new wrap without any sauce, they offered the same one back. To make matters worse, the bartender even came out to insist that we were mistaken, despite the sauce being clearly visible.
The building itself is impressive, but unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The poutine was delicious, and the $3 draft beers are certainly a steal. However, the party melt was overcooked and dry, lacking much flavor overall. Based on this experience, I feel the prices for the main courses are too high given the quality. On a positive note, the staff members were friendly.
Service is slow. Cod is frozen and taste that way. Coworker got a burger and said it was good hence the two stars. There's not much out here to pick from but might want to try others places first.
Great service and great food! Love going up to the lake to eat. They give you a great variety of food selections for a being in a smaller community, compared to a city.
