Flagstaff House - Boulder

It's hard to describe how good this place is with words. The service is top notch. The quality of the food is top notch. The views are top notch. Everything about it is notch. Very nice restaurant with a huge wine menu to choose from. Great for celebrating the milestones of life. Very unique experience.

After 4 years living near Boulder, we finally went to Flagstaff House for a fancy birthday dinner. Simply, this was the best dining experience I have ever had. Every food item was delicious. At other places, we've had some other expensive dinners yet leave feeling that the food wasn't really worth it. Here, even though we spent $200 pp (with drinks included but it's still a lot for us), I have no regrets and even want to go back again. Aside from the amazing food, the views on the night were also remarkable. Finally, the service was top notch. There were so many people ensuring you had what you needed. That does bring my only constructive feedback: when we tried to slow down on the food, and take some breaks (4 courses is a LOT of food) we had to keep telling people we were still eating. Perhaps education on how to place silverware to indicate to servers when someone is finished, versus just pausing, would help reduce the anxiety to eat faster and not have the staff feel like they missed a chance to keep the experience moving. You wrote a review for Flagstaff House Restaurant Yesterday 5.0 star rating 8/11/2022 My colleagues and I were in town for an event for our non profit and were exploring places to have a cocktail reception for our VIP group and this place came highly recommended. Our valet greeted us immediately and we were also greeted at the door by staff, welcomed by the hostess and we went to the bar to have a cocktail. The interior is incredibly lovely with phenomenal views of the mountains. The bartender had an outstanding knowledge of wines and bourbons. We started out with our standard old fashioned (definitely the traditional drink of choice for us). Well presented and delicious it had some great touches. We ended up staying for dinner and were seated at a window with a panoramic view of downtown boulder and the mountains just in time for the sunset. I have to say the service is impeccable. We chose the chef's tasting which was five courses. The wine list was incredible and I chose a 2017 Verbena Brunello di Montalcino. This wine is about as perfect as perfect gets-and as it opens it gets even better. The presentation of our courses was incredible and perfect. We had ahi tuna, shrimp and seasonal squash and wagu beef. I literally could write an entire book on the depth of flavors, the fresh herbs, the detail in every placement, the perfect blend of textures, the fresh baked bread, the layers and layers of heaven in every bite! We ordered cappuccinos with dessert and the presentation is unlike anything I have ever experienced. You definitely have to check out the photo! I ordered the tiramisu which was incredibly unique. Also served was a variety of mini pastries that we ended up taking to go because we were so full! The staff surprised us with miniature banana breads to go as well. I can't even begin to convey how impressive this experience was. I would not hesitate to rank it among my top 5 dinner experiences of all time-(I am an internationally published travel writer).

I cannot praise Annie Davis Event Social Media Coordinator and Flagstaff House Restaurant enough! The venue itself is a dream with a stunning ceremony view, a floor-to-ceiling window dining area, a glass room backup location, and an open-air reception area. A photographer 's dream lighting, says our photographer. The staff was extremely respectful, attentive, and kind, resulting in a beautiful cocktail hour, lunch, and overall atmosphere. Food was amazing, as always! Annie Davis, an event coordination queen! From our initial call to rehearsal, to the day of, Annie made our wedding planning and day-of experience stress-free and enjoyable. My husband and I were truly able to be present and soak up our wedding day with our guests because of the confidence we had in Annie and her team. Her talent and kindness are unmatched. Thank you, Annie and Flagstaff House Restaurant for our perfect day!

We were fortunate enough to visit the Flagstaff House (from Wisconsin on our 5 year wedding anniversary. It came highly recommended to us from a good friend. IMPECCABLE service. We weren't thrilled with our first table, and they kindly moved us to a better table with more of a view. Everyone that came to our table wished us a happy anniversary and called us Mr. Mrs. Murphy, it felt like we were royalty the entire evening. We loved the 4 course menu and the dessert came with an anniversary special plate candle. It was so sweet. We enjoyed talking to the Sommelier on staff and choosing a bottle of Chianti Classico from a town we had just recently visited in Tuscany. It was an excellent addition to our meal! They also sent us home with two mini pumpkin breads yum! This was such a special dinner, amazing views, and outstanding service. Highly recommend if you are visiting Boulder and celebrating an occasion! :
