I was born and raised in louisiana, so I am very critical of eating. the pan roasted alligator was delicious, but the jambalaya was suppe. they were not willing to serve crustaceans, so I ordered garnelen etouffee. I was not satisfied. if a restaurant claims to serve louisiana, then they should either learn the recipes or a local cook in the kitchen for authenticity.
Personal very friendly, but prices above the top. we had no alcohol. I have grown-up oysters who were neither the size nor the quality of what we experienced in new orleans. I had a caesar salad to which I added hugn, as the protein in the oysters was so skeptical and varied some of it to house. my friend and I shared the lunch bill. my half with drinking money was that I rarely spend the dinner, let alone lunch, and not given any alcohol, hard to believe. bottom line: too rich for my pocketbook. I wish them well, but not back.
I didn't like the choice of food. everything on the brunch menu was hard. blood mary was just okay. Drag shows are sometimes obnoxic, but this drag show was pretty loud. I'm not back.
The menu (and description) for this restaurant was somewhat misleading, to imply a medium-high end restaurant. It was OK as a very, very casual place; did not offer any of the wines listed online, nor any brand name hard liquors. Also, our waitress was very new at her job, and couldn't answer any questions without going and asking someone. But it had a pleasant (casual) atmosphere, nice high old ceilings and brick walls.
