El Matador - Bountiful

Always top quality delicious food, and friendly service. We drive down from Ogden to eat at the Bountiful El Matador.

I dine here often and as always it is great food excellent service.

El Matador is our family’s FAVORITE restaurant! Annie always takes such good care of us, and makes sure all of our needs are met! The food is phenomenal and the staff is incredible. They all work so hard to make it the happiest restaurant!!! We also love Cami to death ️ ️

The staff is great, and the atmosphere is very calm and welcoming. But for the price of the food, it didn't meet that standard that comes with it. There are places in Utah that are cheaper and have better tex mex, I've even been to a few good trucks that are better. For their prices I was expecting blue iguana level food, but I was shortly proven this was not the case. We do love El Matador and it's definitely in the upper tiers of Mexican fare in Utah. I can't give 5 stars because I've been to some amazing restaurants out of State (New Mexico in particular) that simply are in a class of their own. But if you can't make it out of State, this restaurant is still pretty good. I wouldn't hesitate recommending El Matador to anyone. Pretty tasty, even if it's a bit on the mild side.
