Patisserie Angelique - Bournemouth

Lovely welcome as came through the door. Nice seating. Music playing. I had a Filled Prezel Bun, German Poppyseed Cake with blackcurrants and 2 Flat White coffees. Everything really tasty and not too expensive.

Two older guys were on duty on the Saturday morning we visited and I think they were a couple. One French and the other English they flirted with all of the patrons in a charming way and everyone was laughing and smiling. Our coffees were perfect and I had a tarte au cassis which was the best I’ve had in years. A Westbourne must!

While passing by, we were warmly invited to come in by a friendly gentleman. Intrigued, we decided to give it a try and we are glad we did. The restaurant was cozy and inviting, with unique features like two trains running around their tracks. Although tempted by the delicious-looking cakes, we were too full from a large hotel breakfast to indulge. However, the cappuccino we ordered was top-notch. What stood out the most was the fantastic ambiance and the engaging conversations we had with the owner and other patrons. We will definitely return when we are in the area again.

Dropped in here for cakes and coffee, all lovely, pleasant surroundings and good service, and not very crowded.
