Le Moulin D'arche - Bouvesse-Quirieu

We have frequented this restaurant for about 13 years. It has an excellent ambiance rustique. BUT Since the change of management and renovation it has deteriorated. The service is s l o w and sometimes poor; the food is sometimes cold or not properly cooked; the bread stale. It is bizarre. It is a small restaurant and the management seem unable to run it properly. There are excuses such as the chef is not in today , After our last two experiences (which seem to match those of other diners who have commented) sadly and it is sadly I doubt if we will go again.

Fortunately we were given directions, as we'd never have found the Moulin unaided. It's the kind of unpretentious village restaurant that France does so well. The bread is baked on site you could see the wood fired ovens as you walked in. Our dinners were delicious, the service was friendly and unstuffy and the local wine was very reasonably priced. Recommended.
