Roses Bistro + Flowers - Bowmanville

I have to say this was a bit of a surprise. While on a walk in Downtown Bowmanville on a beautiful fall day I noticed the sandwich board sign advertising lunch specials at Roses. Taco soup, turkey sandwich with pears and especially the chocolate tort for dessert all delicious. It's a really pleasant atmosphere in the front of the restaurant and a super cool idea towards the back where florists were working with fresh flowers. A must visit spot.

The owner was previously a floral designer at Pussateri's, and we're thrilled to have discovered her on Mt. Pleasant! Her floral arrangements are stunning, elegant, and classy.

This place has moved down the street from where it was and downsized dramatically. There is no place to sit and they do not do food anymore. They do serve coffee and they do flower arrangements/ gift baskets. Its a very cute place and the designer has a knack for making the space homey and warm.

Stopped here with a girlfriend for lunch... will definitely come back.. great atmosphere with live music Wednesdays at lunch!! Thai soup, spinach salad and veggie melt sandwich on fresh rosemary sourdough bread... all delicious... service was great... wine list looked good too... definitely planning on going back with some girls on Thursday nights for open mic!!
