The prices were reasonable: $7 for either a pulled pork or beef sandwich. For just an additional dollar, we could get a bag of chips and a Coke. I opted for the beef sandwich while my partner chose the pulled pork, and we ordered both fully dressed, including the chips and drink. What a pleasant surprise! Often, barbecue sandwiches can be over-sauced, but we both found the sauce to be just right, allowing the rich flavors of the meat to shine through. The fully dressed sandwiches included onions, pickles, and pickled jalapeños. Since I’m not a fan of jalapeños, I removed mine, but the sandwich was still delicious. Now, I’m eager to try the rest of their menu!
I tried the sausage, which was baked but lacked flavor. However, the ribs were delicious—extremely tender and practically fell off the bone. Overall, it's not a bad place, but there are definitely better choices if you explore further into town.
I dined here today, and it was fantastic! The peach cobbler tastes just like my mom's. The staff is incredibly friendly, too.
This place is fantastic! I've visited many BBQ spots featured on Food Network, and this one is definitely among my favorites. The chopped brisket sandwiches are incredibly flavorful, and my husband raves about their jalapeño sausage. Don't be deceived by the exterior; the food here is outstanding!
