Caffe Pasticceria Converso - BRA

In contrary to other historical caffes this one doesn't have this off-putting, unpleasant vibes. It's a really friendly place with good service. Coffe here is great and so are the cakes. Prices are very reasonable. Would love to come back there.

We had a rather unpleasant experience at this bar. The waiter (owner? said that we could only drink our coffee AFTER we had finished our brioches. He commanded us to sit at a table and have our brioches there rather than standing at the bar. We got the impression that the owner wanted to maximise our bill (he left us no other option than to do what he said . After finishing our brioches we walked back to the bar to have our coffee's (having a coffee standing is substantially cheaper in Italy than having it at a table . After drinking our coffee's at the bar the man played his last trick. He made us pay for the water that you normally get for free at the bar. The barman was not very friendly towards us and also not towards the friendly waitress. I don't recommend this place.

One of the best cafe we enjoyed in Italy. Both coffee and cakes were great.
