Going through the list of some more Japanese places to try, next on my list was Momiji which had opened a few months ago at Newstead. Again, I hadn't seen much by way of social media about this place but had been recommended to try it by a friend. We headed over on a Saturday lunch. The place was half full and I really liked the Japanese vibes of the setup. Service was quick and friendly.

Came here with my partner today. This place has got really good value for money and friendly service. <br/ <br/ Shared the Agedashi Tofu which was great. Nice balanced broth. Followed with Sashimi Don and Kaisen Don which had some of the freshest raw fish. <br/ <br/ I would say they certainly under charge by 25% for the food. Thank you for an amazing food experience. We will be back for sure!

This was one of the best lunches I've had in a long time. I had their Chicken Katsu don lunch special and it was impeccable. For such a good price, you really get your value. And the service was amazing! Everyone was super lovely and provided a great experience.I look forward to going there again!

Delicious and super fresh! Good price, always super quick and friendly service. Highly recommend eating here. The bento box is great value. Best miso soup I’ve tasted!

I don’t write reviews. If I write, I’d write it with great appreciation. I live in Newstead and that is why I decided to try this restaurant (I usually try Japanese restaurant cautiously). This is my third ?forth time to dine in on a Saturday for lunch. This restaurant has not disappointed me even once since it’s opening.I have Kaisen don (sashimi don) every time. The sashimi is always nice and fresh in good variety and generous serving. Also, the staffs are always warm and welcoming.If my partner or friend ask me to go out for a poke bowl, I would rather come here for a sashimi don without a hesitation. Finally, I believe the quality of the food is better than how it is rated.
