My 1pm visit today was disappointing. There were no other customers and my Cafe Latte was weak, almost tasteless. Rating:2.5/5.0 The Papparoti Bun was strangely shaped, tiny and served cold. I usually rate these buns a 5/5. Today’s Papparoti Bun rates a 2/5. What has happened to this once wonderful Papparoti Cafe?
One of my all time favourite places, decent prices and fast service. Highly recommend their coffee buns and teh tarik, ice cream is just ok, haven’t tried the rest of the dishes.
We visit for Coffee and two Papparoti buns after dinner nearby. It is a busy Saturday evening and surprisingly our order is ready in under two minutes. Cafe Latte is good but a tad weak and the coffee buns are great.
Straight up game changer. If you haven’t had a freshly made original pappa roti bun straight out of the oven then you haven’t lived. I don’t usually like to hype things but for me, this bun is next level. They do a coffee and bun deal for $7. Make sure you get one that’s fresh out of the oven. It makes a huge difference. It is a MUST try. Even if you think you won’t like it at least give it a go. Thank me later x
It's hard to explain why these buns are good. They are crunchy on the outside, sweet and pillowly soft and warm in the inside with melted butter. I had mine topped with peanut butter but the kaya jam was tasty also. The teh tarik was tasty. On the surface you would be baffled at the $4.80 price but they do make them on site. Service is ok, they are well intentioned but things just get lost in translation. That said, it's part of the appeal of venturing into Market Square. I've been back few times since, and will return again.
