The broth of the soup is the Best I have tasted in qld!! It's proper flavoursome, not like the rest watered down and weak flavours. The broth is Next Level!... Taiwanese style fried pork and chicken puts any fried joints to shame, KFC just lost my business. But my most favourite snack, is their pan fried dumplings, crispy in the bottom and juicy and tender inside. u can tell that the filling is fresh and made with Love, u can't beat this recipe! Overall guys this menu is a grandma traditional recipe, for all of u who are foodies, u know what's up if its a Grandma recipe . I always ask at the counter if Joe is there, he is the crowd pleaser. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO VISIT!.
I love this place. Their beef noodle soup is probably the best you'll get in Brisbane. Their rice dishes are ok and worth the money but there are other Taiwanese options I'd recommend trying in the area, it depends on your personal taste.
Can't remember the last time I stepped foot in Yang Mama, but a friend chose it for a dinner location so it was a good opportunity to revisit. We had some individual and some shared items probably ordered too much, but it was all pretty good so no complaints there! I was quite happy with my choice of the lemongrass pork ribs rice meal and thought that overall it was a decent portion and variety of food for the price with the three vegetable side dishes. That alone would've been a sufficiently satisfying feed but I shared some of my food with the boy and thus made room for the other side dishes. The seasoned chicken wasn't what I expected of this iconic Taiwanese fried chicken dish based on other versions I've had elsewhere I guess they do it differently here. Still nicely fried and no qualms eating it though! Our order: no.3 salt pepper pork chop rice meal, $15.90 no.4 lemongrass pork ribs rice meal, $16.50 no.7 lemon chicken noodle, $15.50 no.34 deep fried tofu, $12.90 no.35 deep fried bean curd, $9.50 no.36 seasoned chicken (sml), $11 Notes: self service chicken soup available the pork mince that comes on the rice meals isn't super generous but you can ask for (free) topups the vegetable side dishes only come with rice meals and are not included in noodle meals 2% card surcharge
Home style authentic Taiwanese food. Best lu rou fan in Brisbane. Braised pork knuckle is a must try as well as their fried chicken tender juicy chicken breast in light batter with perfect amount of traditional spices, not greasy at all.
I had an unfortunate experience during my visit to the restaurant today. Despite informing the staff that I wanted to dine in, they misunderstood my request and almost prepared my order for takeout instead. Additionally, when I received the bill, the total amount on the bill was slightly higher than the prices listed on the menu. Unfortunately, the staff did not provide any explanation or offer an apology for the discrepancy. The young fellow attending to us simply pointed at the computer screen to show a different price, not even saying anything?? How did we know man . What bothered me the most was not the small price difference, but rather the unpleasant attitude displayed by the staff. It is possible that the employee might be under unfair working conditions, which could explain their negative demeanor. I wanted to bring this matter here as I believe it is important for the restaurant to ensure accurate communication with customers and provide a respectful and friendly service experience.
