We had heard great things about their ribs and decided to share them at our table, along with pizza, chicken risotto, and the classic chicken parma. All of the dishes were excellent and we appreciated the extra touches like water bowls, bone containers, and plenty of napkins. The staff were wonderful, very attentive and went above and beyond to make our birthday celebration extra special with balloons, cake plates, candles, and even a birthday song, all at no extra charge. Thank you for a wonderful night.
Located within the Bracken Ridge Tavern, the Phoenix is a relatively new addition following a recent renovation of the pub. Featuring a bar and lounge (no children allowed, as there are designated family-friendly areas elsewhere in the tavern), as well as a cozy dining area with stylish decor, the atmosphere is pleasant and the food is tasty. On Tuesday nights, they offer a special deal of all-you-can-eat ribs for $25. The menu is limited but offers options such as beef, chicken, vegetarian, and fish dishes, as well as snack foods. While I would go back for the food, I found the staff to be somewhat inattentive and occasionally bordering on rude in a sarcastic manner that may have been intended as humor but missed the mark. Despite this, the Phoenix remains a top choice in the area, with amenities including a sports bar, gaming room, Gloria Jean's coffee shop, and another restaurant all within the same complex.
From the ashes of the Rum Jungle (or Rummy as we locals called it) rose the Phoenix. It's a nicely set up, classy little joint in the northern suburbs. The drinks can be a little pricey- but that's not unexpected in a place like this. The food is good and the service is quick and friendly. Those who want to give this place a wide berth because of it once being the Rum Jungle should give it a go, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Bonus points because the bouncer phoned a taxi for us and waited with us and waved us off.
The staff were very friendly there was plenty of staff on so service was good for Sunday lunch. The restaurant was clean. The menu was normal pub style very big portions. My partner had the 1/2 ribs which was very big cooked very well. I had the homemade lasagne a bowl of chips i put the majority of the chips on my plate, however when I tried the lasagne it was cold, I called the waiter they took it back to the kitchen. A few minutes later they came out with a new plate for me with a new piece of lasagne (less the chips). The lasagne was good once I got it hot. Overall good service, and grand pub good at average prices.
Nice place for a drink relax. Excellent surrounds and great value. It must be privately owned you can tell because they take care with their service and staff. We went for a drink before a concert and found it to be very compfortable and pleasant. would reccommend. Good job
