Petrie Hotel - Bracken Ridge

I had a relaxing Sunday arvo with friends at the Petrie Hotel listening to Dirty Dice. The meals were cooked perfectly and would return again for dinner one night. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Hope to see Dirty Dice again in the near future at the Petrie Hotel. Donna M

The staff at the restaurant were amazing! We enjoyed the delicious food and loved the Saturday raffles. We will definitely be returning thanks to Cameron, Mandy, Kristy, and all the staff at the Petite Hotel.

I visited this restaurant for lunch and ended up staying for the cozy atmosphere. The staff and management made us feel very welcome. The service was quick and they promptly seated us at our reserved table. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. I highly recommend this hidden gem.

I am truly disappointed with the food at this restaurant. My three friends and I are regulars, and while most times our meals have been okay, this time was a letdown. I was excited to have a nice meal with my friends, but when my WARM winter salad arrived, it was nothing like I expected. The salad was supposed to have pumpkin, tomatoes, feta, and pumpkin seeds, with added chicken. However, I received a simple lettuce salad with no pumpkin, hardly any pumpkin seeds, minimal feta, a few baby tomatoes, and a small amount of chicken. This same issue occurred with my friend's Caesar salad and another friend's winter salad. After waiting for over 45 minutes, we were informed that there were no eggs or pumpkin left, leaving us feeling very disappointed. While we appreciated our money being refunded, it was frustrating that we were not informed about the missing ingredients earlier. The bartender was rude, but the waitresses were friendly. It seems that the restaurant may prioritize takeout orders over dining customers, which is a common trend elsewhere. Unfortunately, this experience appears to be the norm at many places lately.

My wife told me of her experience. She said there was a musty stale smell on entering the hotel where they were dining. She said the staff were excellent and the place was clean. Her experience with the meal was very disappointing. She had the seniors grilled steak and salad no chips and asked for it medium. The steak approx 150 gram was like boot leather , ie very gristly and was cooked medium rare. You would have thought the chef could have given a little more salad in place of no chips since the cost was $18 for a senior. The size of the salad was a cup full. She only ate the steak as she was extremely hungry. Never going back.
