City Cafe - Bradford

The dumplings at this restaurant are fantastic. The curry goat is outstanding. The Jerk Chicken brings back memories of an island grill in Jamaica. If you're looking for delicious Caribbean food at an affordable price, this is the place to go!

I have visited this restaurant for the third time now and have tried dishes such as Ackee and saltfish, curried goat, fried chicken, jerk chicken, dumplings, lemon cake, and banana cake. Everything is amazing. I have previously tried Jamaican food at the carnival in Huddersfield and was disappointed, as well as at Discovery Bay where it was nice but not authentic. Turtle Bay is good but being a chain, it's always the same. This restaurant serves proper authentic, home-cooked, fresh food that is full of flavor and satisfying. The portions are large and great value for money. It's not fast food, but good food. Make sure to save room for cake, especially the banana cake. I will not only be returning but making it a regular stop.

While in Bradford on our way to Valley Parade to check off another ground on our list, we stopped at the Bradford Arms for a pint before the game. We asked the landlord for a lunch recommendation and he pointed us towards the City Cafe just a short walk away. Initially hesitant, as we hadn't tried this cuisine before, we decided to trust the locals and give it a go. We were warmly greeted and suggested to try the goat curry with rice, beans, and coleslaw. Although I had never tried goat before, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. It was the perfect meal to warm us up on a cold day before heading to the football match. I would highly recommend giving it a try.

First, I can't believe this place has been there for 4 years! I was greeted at the arrival and while I looked at the menu outside, a menu was offered to browse at my table. I ordered cheeseburger and chips and a dose rubicon. the payment was not required in this phase. my eating was extremely fast with me and to my surprise came not on a bog standard white plate but came served on a plate. it looked wonderful and was absolutely delicious. when I finally came to pay, I was overwhelmed by how cheap this meal was! under £3! and in the opposite to mcdonald 's it was delicious and filled my bauch for a break part of the price! the staff was very polite and friendly. I can't wait to go back unfortunately I was not able to recommend my gratitude to the time as I don't vote due to laryngitis, but seriously can recommend this place enough

I'm very happy today. I ordered the Mexican burger. everything was amazingly prepared and mouth water. the food was fresh, properly prepared and a great value for the price. I would recommend it very much. the Mexican burger is absolutely delicious.
