The different areas for children were great the big sand pit the bouncy castle or trampolines the road area for bikes scooters and go karts then the road area for toy cars. We spent a couple of hours then children were relaxed and just played. Nice informal relaxed children could just play and dress up. Drinks were reasonable prices £1.50 a drink etc ordered some food but it went to a different table they realised this apologised and did us the food again. Lovely staff would recommend
I think chaotic pretty much sums up this place. We arrived about 11am and there were children running around everywhere so pretty hard to negotiate moving around with a baby in your arms. Baby play area was great with lots of good toys however people kept depositing older babies in the baby area and wandering off leaving them to toddle around unsupervised. Seemed to spend more time making sure my daughter wouldn't be squashed by other children than playing with her. This of course is the fault of inconsiderate parents/carers rather than The Barn but is still annoying, especially when there are notices up saying not to leave your children unattended. Finally, when you arrive there are signs up saying you can't eat your own food but they do offer a tickets for about £3.50 where you get entry and a baby meal. We therefore bought this and then about our daughters usual lunch time ordered her some food. It is now 30 minutes later and we have only just received our food. You can't really explain to an upset 7 month old that they have to wait that long for food and therefore her food went uneaten as I'd had to give her a milk feed because of the wait. All in all, probably a great venue if you have a toddler, but not if you have a baby unless you want to spend your time stopping them being squashed/prodded by older children!
My 3 year old loves this place and so did I! It has a sandpit which is super clean with lots of toys to dig and play, copious amounts of fancy dress items, a bouncy castle, and an area which the children can ride cars/trikes etc in. They also have a great enclosed baby area. Another bonus is that they have events every weekday, such as singing time or creation station which is included in the price. The Barn is well suited for babies and toddlers alike, does some yummy cake and is a bargain. Entry and a meal was £5.50, adults go free!
We took our toddler grandaughter and had a great time. As it was during term time, the other children were all under 5. It was lovely to see so many young parents with their children plus grandparents. We bought the meal/deal for her £5.50) and she had a good sized portion of cottage pie full of meat, carrots and peas with a topping of mashed potato. We'll certainly will visit again.
This play barn is completely different from any other soft play , lots of room for children to play large very very clean indoor sandpit , sit on toys , baby area , role play which changes regularly, and the killer hit for my children is a bouncy castle all including in a very reasonable admission price , food also homemade and delicious , worth a visit
