Sometimes you just need to know when to quit. And when you refuse customers any type of customer service, the time is now. I ordered a “snack”. The board says a leg and thigh. I asked if I could get 2 legs instead and was told yes but the guy taking my order asked if a leg is white or dark? I said dark. 38.00 for 1adult and 2 kids. No worries. The receipt didn’t show legs, it just said dark so my daughter went up to make sure they knew 2legs. Judy was ignorant, calling us to the counter and stating three times she could sell me another leg. I just spent 38.00 (a grilled cheese by itself, with one piece of cheese, is 4.49 and mozzarella sticks don’t come with marinara, you have to buy it separate) so I’m not going to pay more for what I was told I could have. The chicken is already done at this point. She tells me I can have my money back and she’ll send the chicken home with an employee. WHAT??! So you still lose the money, now you also lose the product AND a customer. Instead of just giving me what I ordered and was told I could have??! She said she doesn’t care about a bad review bc she’s been in business for 35years. Yup and not ONE upgrade. Broken signs, dirty tables, nasty bathrooms with broken mirrors and filthy pics on the walls, most of the displays that brought people from miles away to rt66 are gone or damaged. Maybe you don’t care about my review but your mean and that reflects on your business. Do better or don’t do at all.
The attraction is nice to get out of town people to come but the food is terrible and over expensive the portions are small and the service is rude and stuck up. Been here several times and the food was dry and over cooked everytime...need better service and cooks.
Great 50s diner, family friendly lots of seating indoor and outdoor (covered). Lots of parking.. Opens 11 to 8pm. Great food at great prices. You can feed your family and not break the bank.
The restaurant is clean and probably hasn’t changed in 50 years. Nice seating. And cool statues to get photographed with. The food is cheap and doesn’t taste it! Heck it tastes amazing!
It's all about Route 66 highway site seeing, oldies music, pictures, atmosphere, etc. I'm 76 years young and I love this place. Last year, I met many people from far away places wanting to enjoy Route 66 highway, the old restored gas stations, and of course Polk-A-Dot Drive. I enjoy photography and oldies music, so it's great for me. I'll be back soon.
