Happy Fries - Braintree

Tried for the first time a few weeks ago and was not disappointed. I placed an order 15 minutes before closing and staff were really accommodating despite my late notice! The food was delicious, prices good and portion sizes were great. This is our go to chippy now :

Chips and sausage good steak and kidney pie pastry top to dry and hard been there to long

If you enjoy delicious food, I recommend skipping this restaurant. The chips were cooked terribly and absorbed an excessive amount of oil. The fish may have been fresh at some point, but it certainly wasn't this year. While they manage to stay in business, they won't be getting any more of my money. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Chips were cooked in old oil and while the fish was ok the the batter was dripping in oil. Ate it because I was very hungry and then immediately regretted it.

The staff at the restaurant were extremely courteous, the cod dish I ordered was top-notch, and I would highly recommend this place. I'll definitely be returning soon!
