Charbonnel - Brantôme en Périgord

DECEPTION. 2nd stay in 2022, this time in the hotel, room with balcony overlooking the river. Despite the signal before dinner, and the staff promises to solve the problem, no heating in the bathroom, about 17 /18 degrees, a little too cool for the season. In the morning, idem, no heat and cherry on the cake, no hot water for the shower. Too bad.

Disappointing this time. Very slow service despite the deliberate choice of our part to take 3 noon formulas. 45 minutes between the entrance and the Dessert dish uninterested. Brownie of the eve groaned on whipped... the tower for 150 euros. We were used to better. We've been used to this address for more than 10 years and we've never been disappointed so we'll hear the experience despite everything but not in the week working

Very nice experience, I put 5 stars because I can't put more. This establishment is to be discovered !!! Great restaurant served in a beautiful room, we feel really good. On arrival, an excellent welcome and smiling of Samantha, the director of Charbonnel. The staff is professional, attentive and friendly. The kitchen is exquisite, with succulent dishes from amuses mouths to dessert, passing wine. A big thank you to Stéphane, for your good recommendations on the met wines agreements. I recommend and I will come back without hesitation. And if I have to stay during a next visit to this beautiful region, I will take advantage of it to test the rooms of the hotel well located in Brantome. Rooms: Very nice room with a very comfortable bedding Food drinks: A great price-quality ratio with fresh seasonal products
