It has a lovely atmosphere, neither too fancy nor too shabby, service was great and friendly, and the Indian food is top notch although the mild spice was a little bit lacking to my taste, I really couldn't detect any capsaicin in the food at all. I particularly liked their mango lassis, I suspect that Vermont dairy products have something to do with that and with the high quality of the cheese in the palak paneeras well. Highly recommended.
We came on a Monday so maybe it was more people than normal but there was only one person handling the tables and she was efficient but overworked. Made sure she and she only got a good tip.Food was great and its a cute place in a historic town. I would have tried some of the cocktails but didnt want to add to the waitresses workload. The cook came out to clean tables. Its next to a hotel on the north side of townI would go back
The food was good and the service was nice, but the prices are simply not worth it when there are other options within 20-30 miles. You can expect to pay roughly 30$ for a single entree and the portions are good but not enough food for 30$. You can’t really expect to charge about 50$ per person when the dining area has a huge water stain on the ceiling. At that price, I’d expect to order cocktails with the entree.
Honestly the prices here are ridiculous. $33 for butter chicken is laughable. $10 for an onion naan is extortion. If you want Indian food and live in Brattleboro drive 20 minutes to Greenfield and get it for 1/2 the price along with better quality and bigger portions. There are fine dining places over in Wilmington and West Dover that are comparable price wise. I am in shock that they have any customers who pay these prices regularly.
Absolutely the best south Asian food in southern Vermont (possibly all) and the surrounding area. It has absolutely stunning naan, curries and veggie entrees, and drinks! Recommendations: mango mojitos, chicken Chennai, aloo gobi, and garlic or aloo naan. I’ve never had a negative food experience here. It’s worth every penny.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan and veggie friendly cuisine.Wheelchair accessibility: All one floor with ramps and low top seating.Dietary restrictions: Accommodates no dairy, no nuts, gluten free, and more.
