Golf-Club - Braunfels

On 20.06.2021 with 20 people on the terrace for coffee and cake. The golf course is great. Old trees, very well maintained. The clubhouse is located in the heart of the complex and at first glance makes a very good impression. At first glance at the reserved tables then the shock. Tables dirty, no decoration or tablecloths. Ready plate/socket, no napkin? Apparently the guard changed. Drinks just pull. He was waiting for coffee for 35 minutes. Cake on 4 plates. Glass dirty. The service wears plastic gloves? From the kitchen it stinks of old fat (same cook) menu is not even offered after 4 hours. Cleanliness is not great either. The parasols are almost out of dirt, toilets are not clean. I understand if there's anything about Corona, but napkins would have been inside. On the table at the entrance Schnitzel with supplements 10 Euro the direction is given. The cheapest.

We have a table for 4 people on the occasion of a 90. Birthday reserved last week. On arrival a smaller company was present and 2 3 tables were occupied. This is beautiful in the middle of the golf club. The interior has come in the years and could refresh. After we had assigned a table, we waited for the card that came after a few minutes. Drinks were not asked. About 10 minutes later our selection of food has been added and we can order a drink only on request. After about 40 minutes we first got the extra salads served. Then we waited 20 minutes for the appetizer. Unfortunately, only 2 of 3 were served here, the 3. The Appetizer came 10 minutes later. The service apologized for many simultaneous orders. You should be informed and not until you have the nose full as a guest. After we were beaten for 90 minutes, we were allowed to admire 3 of the 4 main dishes on our table, Grandma had to wait another 8 minutes until her food finally arrived. I do not need to stress that we were absolutely disappointed at the time and that we also did our dissatisfaction. The service was still exhausting, but all the excuses after that will not help. After all, free drinks were offered, but we refused. To the dishes: supplements salad standard, nothing special, dressing delicious. Well, the filled mushrooms were a little watery. The additional salad corresponded to the supplement and was ignored. The fried sheep cheese was good. In the main dishes there were chickens (good), 1 Holsteiner Schnitzel (good, but little spices), Muttis Schnitzel with two sauces was Solala, the sauces came from the bucket and my carving with fresh plums left much to be desired. Pepper watery and without taste, dry carving, not even a slice of lemon on the plate. The roast potatoes were good. I left the restaurant immediately after I had eaten it, a discount of EUR 15 was granted to the accounts. The service was tried, but overwhelmed. The apology came too late, you could have told me before. Conclusion: not recommended, we will no longer visit the restaurant.

The clubhouse with restaurant is located in the heart of the golf course. Italian cuisine is offered. The service is excellent, the pizza was crispy and well seasoned. Prices are moderate, The location is unique, full of nature. Here we feel very comfortable and will come again

On recommendation we played an 18-hole round at Schlossplatz and were very positively surprised at the location and the good condition of the facility. Then we ate and drank something in the golf restaurant. The service was very good, the value for money was also good.

The Homburger Hof restaurant is located directly on the golf course in an old listed building. It is not only open for golfers. The map is diverse and also offers specialties. Our dishes were impeccable. The service is good. We'll be back.
