In any case, inexpensive... so I mean that their price is worth it...not mass, but class is the motto of this very authentic restaurant...... the foods offer the palate culinary new land. We were here 2 x and every time positively surprised extremely good food very friendly service. Too bad you don't have to reserve anything for the spontaneous pleasure of good food, but that also speaks for the restaurant special wishes are no problem. Very attentive service earned 5 stars.
First of all: I am Spanish. I was suspicious about this restaurant when I read the menu. Some obvious mistakes in the Spanish names, one obvious automated translation. Dates = Fechas, but also Dátiles. How "chorizo a la sidra" (cider) became "a la barcelona" is a mistery to me. We were three people and ordered a selection of tapas,, cold and hot ones.I was a bit puzzled that the waiter who took our order seemed confused about how to bring the tapas to our table. This is normally done according to how much preparation they need.It was the first time in my life that iberico bellota ham was (a) not marbled with fat (b) shiny after a while at more than 20 C. The other tapas were nothing exceptional. The cheese selection was disappointing, although they were all Spanish types. The prawns with garlic were ok, seemed to have thyme and garlic where in Spain they would only have garlic and pieces of dried chilli peppers. The aioli we got was way too liquid. Asturian cider can easily be tasted even when combined with chorizo, but not here. Then disaster struck: our "crema catalanas" took over 30 minutes to arrive at the table. We reminded one of the waiters after 25 minutes and he neither apologised nor seemed to have forgotten our order. Other than that, the three waiters were friendly throughout the evening.I don't think that I will be returning.
A great little place hidden away from the main roads with indoor and outdoor seating. We sat halfway in between under an awning while it was slightly drizzling outside- very lovely amidst all the greenery. The staff were friendly and helpful translating the menu into English and suggesting vegetarian items for us. The wine suggested to us was great. We several few tapas items and all, except perhaps the mushrooms, were delicious- the mushrooms were just ordinary. I would highly recommend this place for the food, service and ambiance.
It's difficult to write a clear and unambiguous review. (We didn't want to eat full dinner and had only some tapas and not the main dishes.) The avocado with garlic cream and tuna as well as the dates in bacon were very good, the grilled cheese and the prawns in hot garlic sauce were rather mediocre. The cheese itself wasn't very tasty and without "style", the garlic sauce was flat and thus the prawns rather boring.Prices too high for what is offered. 40 € for four small tapa dishes including the beers is too much related to the quality of the food. Interior tries to look Spanish without much success. Sitting outside under the high trees sure is nice. Service very friendly and helpful.
