The Martello - Bray

Never stayed in the hotel part but the restaurant has nice food, very pricey.

Always love the music or sports in the Martello. Have attended events there lots and food and drinks are always great. Atmosphere is brilliant and right on the beach which is great in the summer!

Very cozy pub with delicious food and accommodating service (on our request even the TV was switched over). Above all on the upper floor there are very nice places where you can hold it a few hours.

Good eating option in much maligned Bray. The restaurant is cosy on a cold day, and there is an outdoor area if the weather is up. Very good selection of sandwiches at lunchtime. The chorizo and mozzarella was delicious. Service was efficient and friendly.

Breakfast was brilliant ... generous portions, good value and very tasty Room was adequate for a short stay (max a couple of nights) as it was quite cramped for 4 adults. The fold-down single beds were a great idea and worked well for our adult daughters Bathroom was fine with a strong shower Kitchen was kitted out for a short-stay Parking out in the street (zones) had to be paid for via the parking app or in person which if we had stayed for longer than 1 night I would have had a problem paying for. Our room was right up against the DART rail line and station and so could hear the train traffic very loudly (the sound dampening in the rooms is not great as we could hear people talking loudly in the street below as well) There was also construction happening right outside our window which started before 08h00 and also very disturbing. A real shame about the noise as the hotel is lovely with a great vibe, great restaurant and pub downstairs. and the location is top drawer being on the waterfront.
