Hôtel Marina - Brazzaville

The Hotel Marina was in time a hotel worthy to wear 5 stars, but for some years it has been hard to find that it in full decline, as an example it is said that its restaurant service as well as its two swimming pools are currently no longer available for reasons that escape me. Certainly the Hotel Marina is no more than the shadow of itself, but it continues to function and indeed its rooms and bar are always chic, classy and well maintained. I hope that in the future this hotel will find these nobility letters.

This is one of the hotels that had better days in the past and now rapidly approaching it's closure date. I travelled extensively in Africa, Asia and Europe and this is by far the worst hotel in terms of its value for money. Filthy, with broken furniture, bad smelling and overpriced (at the moment they charge around 200 USD per night for standard room). The only upside is its staff that is warmhearted and helpful. However it did not keep me from checking out from there and moving to another hotel as soon as I could.
