Bruegger's - Brea

The bagel sandwiches are fantastic, and the coffee is equally good. However, I had to take away a star due to an unpleasant experience involving an employee. While it wasn't a problem that he was eating in the dining area, after finishing his meal, he sat down and started picking his teeth with a toothpick, carelessly flicking it onto the floor. This was quite off-putting while I was eating, and it makes me wonder about his hygiene practices during food preparation.

Great bagels and bagel sandwiches! Line can get long in the mornings but moves fast. Very friendly service despite them being super busy. Recommend the Bacon Avocado Tomato sandwich w bagel egg whites (pictured) or Lox!

I absolutely love the bagels here. I'm from Southern California, so going to bagel shops isn't my normal experience. Growing up, I was used to grocery store bagels in packages. Other than these, I've had bagels from Panera, which are good, but are in no wayclose to how good the bagels at Bruegger's are. I love coming in the morning and seeing the fresh bagels on the counter andbeing able to smell them. I've bought a bunch for my family and coworkers, and they all have loved them. My favorite is theeverything bagel, which has toppings on both sides (not just one). Usually, by the time I bring them home, they're still warm. Ijust split them open and eat with cream cheese; no need to toast them. If you like bagels, I recommend this place.
