The location is delightful, with plenty of parking just outside the restaurant. Once you enter this small court, there is a nearby garden attached to it. We ate outside so I cannot judge the interior. The positive remarks end here. The tables outside are of plastic together with the chairs so adjust accordingly if you have back pain. The waitress brought us the menu on a small board which is common in local places. I personally prefer the regular paper menu, but the board serves the exact same purpose. The options to choose from are really limited, but seeing the location of this place, it is to be expected. The dishes were not even the real local ones, with gnocchi and eggplant as the main ones. As far as the service is concerned, it was really late. I just ordered a plate of cold cuts, with one cheese on the side (in other words, you simply have to take the food out of the fridge and put it on the plate) and that just took 20 minutes. The eggplant was reported to be extremely cheese. The time would have been justified if it were crowded, but there was just another table. But one episode was enough to ruin the whole reputation of the place: i asked for a plate of cold cuts (12fr) with one plate of cheeses (8fr) as indicated on the menu. The waitress laughed and told me that the plate of cold cuts was going to be enough as the cheeses are extremely big (actual full cheese sizes), and told me to just choose one from the menu. I did. The final price? 20fr. Yes, that's right, I paid twenty francs (12+8) for the two plates, when actually I ended up consuming one, and a very small part of the second one. What a big joke and a rip off! At the end the chef came excusing yourself for the long delay with the excuse that they not own a microwave and therefore actually had to cook the food, which to be honest is quite difficult to believe. Price to quality ratio is a little expensive but for average for Switzerland. Price to quantity ratio: no comment, I do not think I need to say anything here. A little advice: unless you are stranded in the valley with a huge urge to eat something you can choose better just some meters lower in altitude or western in longitude, do yourself a favour!
Charming little, simple hotel with excellent local cuisine! I repeat my comment written on the hotel page.
Wirklich ausgezeichnet.
