It's over to try the tacos and it's happy to report that they are incredible. cannot wait to come back and try something else! only cash and a beautiful small sitting area.
Delicious al pastor burrito with queso fresco. good prices. friendly mom and pop place. some unique menu items I've never heard of. the Mexican man who waited with me said it was an authentic Mexican beacon. seated in a no Frills interior. no alcohol. only cash. I'm back.
After what felt like ages, I finally saw the announcement that they had reopened, and I couldn't wait to see if they were still as good as before. The new location is charming, clean, and quiet. Initially, the menu was a bit limited, but they still offered incredibly delicious and affordable tacos. At that time, they only accepted cash, and there was only one nearby place to withdraw money (Yak’s Market) with some steep fees. My reluctance to get cash made me visit less often. Fast forward to today—I was pleased to find that they now accept card payments and that the menu has expanded to what I remember from my first visit. I’m thrilled to see them thriving! Their tacos are just as amazing as I remembered. This time, I tried the adobada and pastor tacos, which were incredible! Along with the classic carne asada, I left feeling very satisfied for such a reasonable price, with enough leftover for later. If you're a fan of Mexican cuisine, give this place a shot and see how it compares to your favorites. You might just find yourself wondering, "Where have these tacos been all my life?"
I have now eaten there about a dozen times, trying a new item on the menu each time. This is the most delicious and most authentic Mexican food I have eaten north of the border. I work both at Silverdale and Port Orchard and try and stop in there on my way between offices if the timing is good for lunch or dinner. If the hour is late I often stay at the Super 8 across the road and if I stay there I always eat here. The taste of the food, the spices and the preparation is awesome. The place is easily overlooked as it does not stand out as it is located in a small end of a building next to a minimart. If you really like great tasting authentic Mexican food then do not be deceived by the rather austere appearance and minimalist furnishings. I am nearly 64 years old and have loved Mexican Food all my life, having eaten in hundreds and hundreds of Mexican places in this country and across the border from Texas. I honestly rate the taste of this food the best of any. If you haven't tried this place you are missing a treat. Nothing in Seattle even compares; you need to travel a couple thousand miles to even be in the same league.
