We was seated outside it was literally freezing but they said they had heaters I’m sure they did but they didn’t work or do much. The lights went out and nothing was said. We was given lamps after about 15 minutes of sitting in darkness but we had a big table so this didn’t do much, food took a long time to come out and all came out at different stages. We had someone highly allergic to nuts. Food came out but wasn’t specified that it was no nuts so because it all came at different stages someone else ate that one When the last dish came out that was for the girl with no nuts it had pine nuts and they blamed her for not taking the one with no nuts. She ended up eating nothing. It got to 11.30 and there was no function so we sat inside (to get warm) had a drink but left as it was an awful night
I don't usually write reviews, but I had to share my experience at this restaurant. We traveled all the way from East London to this place, as we were attending a concert nearby. A friend who lives in the area had recommended Aura, so we thought it would be decent. However, when we arrived, the shutters were down at the front and the entrance was on the side, which didn't give a welcoming first impression. We were asked for ID to enter the restaurant at 5pm on a Sunday evening, which seemed odd. The food was terrible, and many people in the restaurant were also complaining. We ordered the "mini burgers," but they came in regular-sized buns with a small amount of meat, not resembling sliders at all. The chicken burger was essentially a processed meat patty. The baked Brie had a dry salad with no dressing. The people next to us even sent back their food because it was so bad. The lamb and chicken shish looked unappetizing and the presentation was poor. The service was just as bad - it took a long time for the food to arrive, and when it did, there was no cutlery or napkins on the table. We ordered a bottle of wine, but were not given the opportunity to taste it before it was poured into our glasses. When we refused to pay the service charge due to the poor service and food quality, the waiter just laughed. I have been to many restaurants, but this was honestly a disgusting experience. It might be okay for drinks and a night out, as it seems to transform into a club later on, but I would not recommend it at all for food.
Had the best night out for my birthday last Friday. Which yet again, the excellent service from the team is beyond my expectation. Special mention to Daksh who is very attentive even though it was very busy he always make sure he gave us what we need, also his team iham and raghav that make us laugh and have excellent suggestion from menu and drinks. I had the birthday package that made my day special, the staff parade with sparkles and special song, it could’ve been perfect only if they put a good effort with the “happy birthday” written on the dessert. When we move to nightclub, I cannot thank enough as well to the manager that night who named Omar for keeping us safe from the people who is bothering us that night, and so we crack on and had the best night out with my girls! Excellent service, good food and drinks. Worth the money. So my friends want to go back again. I highly recommended this place. A good crack!
Awful…… terrible a restaurant within the ghetto…. With a bad fake face facelift. It’s all about the pic…. Awful service we waited over 2hr for 1 of the 3 tables we booked, cold food, champagne cocktails had Prosecco not champagne, I had to send back 3 of 3 that I order in the end i had to watched the bar man make my drinks to make sure it’s was champagne. So now I’m just being robbed.. It’s just awful don’t do it….. If your reading this DON’T BOOK it BOOK Tarshish-lounge Drench lounge anywhere but this mess. It’s a 0/ 10 for me.
I cannot comment on the quality of the shisha, as my friends and I do not smoke. I ordered the half chicken with rice, which was decent. My friend enjoyed the lamb burger, and another friend was happy with her 3 starters for £15. The hummus with lamb was tasty, and the virgin pina colada was also delicious. Unfortunately, I was disappointed that the mint tea, despite assurances, was made from tea bags rather than fresh mint leaves. Overall, the food at Ayla Lounge was okay but nothing special. The service was hit and miss, and the table was initially dirty when we sat down. Despite this, the atmosphere was cozy and warm. I was informed by the staff that Fridays are Bollywood nights and Saturdays feature belly dancers. It seems that people come to Ayla Lounge more for the shisha experience, which I cannot comment on.
