Really good food I just can’t give 5 stars because the closing times are not consistent. Hopefully the hours listed will be accurate soon.
Honest Review:I’m Nigerian so kindly read my review with that in mind. This place is good. Great location- parking offered- and an overall cute place. When I first arrived It gave me like a marketplace feel which I thought was really cute. The workers here weren’t the friendliest and not very helpful. We ordered our food and waited and ordered a drink at a bar in the same area.We ordered combos: the salmon comb with jollof rice and spinach (efo-riro) the steak suya with chicken quarter leg , jollof rice, and plantain. The protein was delicious! Well prepared and tasty. Jollof rice was party style jollof so if you like that then you will like this- but not my fav.I am use to Vegetarian style jollof which is very tasty- but I’m not sure if this was cooked in a meat broth so but sure to ask. But the plantain was so well prepared and sweet!I did not care for the efo-riro, I am use to It being more dry and flavorful but for those who are not use to spinach being prepared with these type of spices you might like It.We got Suya seasoning on everything and I was a bit disappointed. It was not authentic and had peanuts ? that part was strange to me and just a bit interesting. The atmosphere was ok but a bit open and a lot of different exits. Upstairs a live talent show was going on so I thought that was cool. This eatery has a lot of potential and I would love to see Spice Kitchen be their own restaurant. They will do great things in this city!
At the Spice Kitchen in R.house Baltimore and the Jollof rice, stew, plantain, honey wings, asun egg roll was so so good. Very flavorful and well made. I love it and would be going back for Def. The guys are friendly. I requested for more Jollof rice and the manager gave me without any extra charge. Correct guy!!
One thing:If I had known the I was going to get a petri dish sized container for some spinach for about $7, they would've been eating their own spinach. It was tasty! Soooo good but come on now. ?
