Feedback gevenMy wife and I felt completely embarrassed; it felt like we were baited and switched from excellent catering experiences at our first two events to a disaster at our most recent gathering at home. They arrived late and didn’t bring any china, wine glasses, or candles. To make matters worse, our guests were asked to stand up and serve themselves! When we returned from our concert, we found that the food was gone, leaving just enough for two people, despite paying Spence $75 per plate for each guest. My wife and I pride ourselves on being generous, and at previous events, we even left gratuities exceeding 40%. We went out of our way to give Spence and his assistant Christian clothing as a kind gesture before leaving for the concert and tried to overlook the shortcomings, only to later find out that our guests couldn’t get seconds. After the event, our guests shared their feedback, leaving us with no choice but to write this review. I am willing to update this review once I receive a partial refund for the service and the food shortages (the desserts were fine). Furthermore, the assistant had the audacity to text my wife at 7 a.m. while she was still asleep. It would have been more appropriate for him or Spence to address my complaint directly rather than involving my wife—such behavior is rude and classless. Honestly, I would have appreciated it if Spence had reached out personally to apologize and offered to make things right, perhaps even suggesting a do-over. So far, however, I have heard nothing. Time to find another chef.
Ordered the whole j turkey for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Both times, it did not disappoint. The turkeys were more than enough for my family of 6 with days of leftovers. The j flavor was amazing and the bird was stuffed with seasoning. The complimentary cranberry relish and gravy were also amazing. Great service! Will be back!
Great food, great service!!! Enjoyed the curried salmon, blackened salmon and j chicken sandwich. Well prepared and seasoned. The fried fritters were excellent. Can't wait to eat there again.
I ordered several meals. The sampler was great!I think the food is cooked to eat right then and there! Food was definitely cold by the time I got home!The snapper was fried but not sauté like escovitch is supposed to be!I think the prices are too high for the product received. But the customer service was greatI recommend shortening the menu, to focus on perfecting dishes and provide the freshest food (not frozen)
I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars because the customer service was excellent. However, I was very disappointed with my food. I ordered the crab cake sandwich, which came with fries, but the crab cake was overloaded with filler. I could barely taste any crab at all, especially for the price of $19.
