Brentwood Cafe - Brenwood

My last visit here was at least 35 years ago when meals here were a regular part of my life. I realize that pretty much has changed behind the scenes is different now and wasn't sure what to expect once my food arrived but the crowd and people waiting to be seated said a lot. I walked around a bit to reminisce a bit. Everything was the same but better. Lol if that makes sense. They have remained true to the spirit that has made that place so special while adding subtle improvements with simple decor. My breakfast was delicious! Truly! I ordered the California Eggs Benedict, I am very critical about hollandaise sauce and have only YUM to say about theirs. My son had the fluffiest pancakes and he said they were great. The service was fast and friendly. Perfect place to enjoy a small town favorite place.. I'll be back for sure..

The hostess was so rude!!! This was our first time going to Brentwood Cafe, we wanted to find a local business we enjoyed for weekly brunches. We went in to add our name to the list, and the hostess had such a bad attitude. We asked about the different areas of seating (again we 've never been there before )we wanted to know if we could wait to be seated outside and she literally SLOWED down her words and told us "WE.....GO.....OFF....THE....LIST. "We were not asking to cut in line, in fact, we knew we would be waiting longer if we wanted to be seated outside. She had zero kindness and treated us like we were wasting her time, like we were an inconvenience for being there. We didn 't stay and won 't be going there again.

Very nice place, the feel is as if you’re home which is good family warmth.

This place is becoming one of my regular brunch stops.... Chicken fried steak is my go to.... Very cool old school dinner. Blue collar menu done very well... The staff is fun and helpful. The place is welcoming. If this isn't one of your go tos then you're doing your Brentwood-ing wrong!
