PROS: Just casually strolling in Brescia we came across this place thought to try as being an Osteria Casual dining in dehor (outdoor area) or inside Simple basic service but attentive and cordial Pasta dishes were simply perfect with generous portions and condiments Price in the range of €18 20 per person CONS: Limited choice of dessert Since it is also a Bar, you might come across diverse types of clientele.
Osteria dei Mercanti is the perfect spot to hang out with locals in Brescia’s old town. And the aperol spritz comes at a more than reasonable 2,50 euros which includes snacks.
My good friends who live locally come here every saturday following a walk throughout the downtown area. He made a reservation for the four of us today. Having this advance notification, they cooked a goat for our table. Along with the goat meat we had polenta, potatoes, carbonara, casencelli (with cheese) and spaghetti . The goat meat was very good and similar to lamb. The causenchelli was very good with abundant butter sauce. The carbonara was also good. But, they make one of the best Pierlo from either Aperol or Campari.
Siamo stati a pranzo , posto carino un po' affollato, mangiato degli ottimi casonselli alla bresciana, peccato che essendoci il menù estivo non abbiamo potuto assaggiare il famoso manzo all' olio. Consigliato
