Restaurant La Diligence

This is a very unpretentious little restaurant with well-cooked dishes to please anyone. Huge quantities. The first course can easily fill you up and I never get around to eating one of their enticing desserts. A few tables outside, albeit on a busy road but plenty of room inside. Madame is the attentive waitress and I suspect that Monsieur does the cooking.

We have a holiday home in Attin, just outside Montreuil Sur Mer. Since buying our home in February of 2014, we have visited many of the local restaurants but had failed to come across La Diligence until very recently. We must have passed it numerous times on our way to Attin as it is just along the road from us. You could easily miss it while driving along the fairly busy road. I will NOT miss it again! Wow! What a find!! Since our first visit, we have returned many times and will continue to do so. The menus are absolutely fabulous and excellent value for money. I have tried various things from their menus including steak, turkey and various fish dishes and not once have I been disappointed. I usually have the 19 euro menu which offers a fabulous range of starters, main dishes and lovely desserts. I honestly cannot fault this wee gem of a place! Their wine menu is extensive with bottles starting from around 14 euros. This is obviously a family affair, with the husband cooking in the background. What a chef he is! The lady in front of house always makes us very welcome and the young girl who serves us is simply lovely, always smiling. We have recommended La Diligence to friends and neighbours who have all visited and been as delighted as us with their experience. Great food, excellent prices and, overall, a wonderful experience each and every time! La Dligence has definitely become my number one restaurant in the area. Visit once and you will definitely return! I cannot wait to go back!! Absolutely fabulous!!

Having spent a lot of time in the surrounding area in the last year or so I've visited most restaurants, none of which are bad but la diligence is without doubt the best. You can miss it so easily despite it being on a main road. Clearly a family run place, the food is fantastic. Had a few different dishes from the menu and all have been great. It's not expensive at all!!!! The menu offers GREAT value for money!!!! It may not look much from the outside but it is most definitely worth a visit! Again the decor isn't up to much but it doesn't matter at all when the food is so good. The chef is clearly very talented. The quality of the food and value for money is simply fantastic.
