Very slow and rude service. female worker with pixie short white haare was a scandal. I was there for 25 minutes when she watched me and served others close by (most tables were empty). she had directed me on a table. she cried. far away and asked what I wanted. I left. recommend to find elsewhere. a group of five came and went while I was waiting. cannot imagine how many customers are lost by this one more waiter.
Had dinner here two times during our stay in Briancon. The food was very good with excellent service. The staff speaks good enough English to make orders easy and a bit funny : You can really feal a friendly family atmosphere in this restaurant. The...Tartiflette and the Tartichevre were very good.
This is where we go for lunch if we find ourselves in Briancon. First time visitors to the town will want to explore the medieval ramparts 'Gargouille ', the narrow main street flanked by lots of interesting little shops. There 's a big choice of restaurants...round here, many offering traditional mountain fare and it is worth browsing their menus. However, if what you want is a good value 3 course meal and great views, then this is hard to beat. The portions are very generous often with plenty of veg, service is great and the coffee is good too. A typical menu of €14 would be a salad to start with a maybe a slice of terrine, roast chicken with chips veg followed by fruit tart with cream or a couple of boules of icecream. And a 1/4 litre of wine is included in the deal. I 've also tried a couple of salads from the a la carte menu costing about €12 14 and not been disappointed. A 1/4 of wine with this cost €3. There 's a large terrace fronting the main road with parking alongside. Plenty of tables to choose from here with shade provided by parasols. And there is also a pretty balcony area. The main view is the ramparts mountains beyond but there 's the additional entertainment of watching people traffic trundling backwards forwards. (You 're far enough away for it not to be intrusive) A big plus is that you can enjoy the sun here whereas the old town will inevitably be in the shade especially good in winter. Inside it 's basic but comfortable and there 's a small bar area. It seems to be a popular place with locals, business people, touring bikers and holidaymakers alike.
I haven't been here for a few years and it seems they've done a makeoverThe new look is greatVery clean inside.
