Feedback gevenI ordered from here for the first time and got the Marsala pizza, which was quite good. The next time, I inquired about a chicken Marsala dish since it wasn't listed on the menu, and they kindly agreed to prepare it for me. Honestly, this is probably the best or at least on par with the best Marsala I've ever had. The sauce is a genuine Marsala, the chicken is tasty, and the portion size is generous. The highlight, though, is the homemade penne pasta; it has the perfect texture that pairs wonderfully with the dish. I could eat this every day! I do think it could use a sprinkle of Pecorino Romano for a bit of extra saltiness, but aside from that, the Marsala is fantastic. My wife also loves the goat and fig pizza, which is excellent. Occasionally, we order the Nutella pizza, which is really good too; it comes topped with cannoli cream, which is a lovely addition.
I can't understand how anyone could rate this restaurant lower than 5 stars. We had dinner here with my family tonight, and it felt just like being back in New York. We had an amazing experience. The owner is incredibly nice and goes above and beyond for his customers. He even treated us to some homemade pasta to try, and it was delicious. Every dish we had was fantastic, especially the clam pie, which was outstanding. The staff were wonderful with our energetic little ones running around, especially our waitress and Angelo, who allowed my niece to make her own Nutella pie for free and even came over to sing to her! During my visit from out of town with my Italian boyfriend, who is a local, we chose to order takeout. He enjoyed the gnocchi, while I went for the baked ziti, and both dishes were absolutely delicious! I was also impressed by the restaurant's decor. The staff was exceptionally friendly; everyone we met greeted us warmly and was incredibly helpful!
I can't get enough of this place! It's almost embarrassing how frequently I find myself ordering takeout from here. My absolute favorite is the margarita pie; I crave it all the time. Their Bolognese sauce is also phenomenal. The owner mentioned that all the entrees are based on his mother's recipes, and it definitely shows. Everything is crafted with care and top-quality ingredients. I've dined in and brought my own bottle (it's a BYOB spot) and had a fantastic experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making it feel like home. This is truly a hidden gem in my neighborhood, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. P.S. Don't miss their zeppole with Nutella—it's absolutely delicious!
