La Grillade - Brides-les-Bains

We had a lovely meal the night we arrived in Brides le Bain. We enjoyed the range of food offered on the menu. We managed to keep everyone in our party happy.

We visited here twice, both times without a reservation and was accommodated both times, even in a busy period. The food was big portions and the menu was very varied. There was a long wait to have our order taken, but the taste of the food made up for the wait. Lovely spot and cosy atmosphere

This place seems to have changed name and is no longer called la Grillade. I assume the ownership changed as well as the quality has not been maintained. For example, the onion soup we had was served without cheese but was more importantly tasteless and overly salty. As were the meats served with the main course, lower quality cured meats. The prices are low relative to the surroundings but still too high compared to the quality.

Very disappointing. How this restaurant gets good reviews is a mystery. Our tartiflette was microwaved. It makes me sad just typing that out. It was hot on the perimeter of the tartiflette, and it got colder as you reached the centre. The very middle was cold as ice. No golden brown on top, just microwaved cheese. Absolutely pathetic, and the most ironic part of it all is that it took AGES for it to arrive at our table. In that amount of time the chef couldve just thrown it into the oven?!?! Service was also WEIRD. The guy refused to take our order for an hour. Even when we made eye contact with him, he ran away and started talking to some guy in the kitchen. Very weird. Very annoying. And last but not least, EXTREMELY disappointing.

Great Italian Good pizza and great with kids Good service We have been several times in winter and Summer and always enjoyed the food. Recommend
