Finnegans Fish - Bridgend

We had another enjoyable meal at Finnegans Fish Bar in Porthcawl. The three of us ordered delicious cod with chips, mushy peas, sausage, and more chips. We loved the tasty food, especially the fresh fish and thick cut chips. The premises were clean and the staff were friendly and hardworking. They offer unlimited chips for those with big appetites, although we have never been able to finish them all. All meals are made to order, so everything is super fresh. We recommend trying their discounted meal rate with unlimited chips and cups of tea after 3pm. Overall, we highly recommend Finnegans Fish Bar.

It is difficult to find good fish and chips in Cardiff, so we often travel long distances to find a quality meal. This restaurant is fantastic, serving large portions with unlimited chips available upon request. The fish is freshly cooked with a light and crispy batter. The staff were all friendly and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely be returning.

I recently visited this restaurant and was disappointed by the undercooked chips and soggy fish. The curry sauce was the only highlight of the meal. The prices were high considering the low quality of the food. The tall blonde lady serving us was unfriendly and seemed unhappy. She could improve her customer service skills. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.

Over hyped after seeing a review on tic toc, totally over hyped and over priced, small cod soggy chips £30 with a free drink! Never again
