Bloodroot - Bridgeport

My friend and I were here for the first time for the jubilee and everything was incredible! he's vegan and I'm on the way to get vegan, and that's such a good place and experience! 10/10 recommend

I love what this place stands for and they are now completely vegan, but I had to take a star off for the reason. the place could use a dusty and fresh lacquer. not to mention, I have 3 mosquitoes while I wear in such bugspray. I'll eat outside when I return. eating was tasteful and easy to eat. the owners are personal and the experience is very unique.

There are not many places like this. it is old-fashioned, and I like the atmosphere, the concept, the photos and the books. the owners would like to deal with customers who feel like they visited someone at home instead of being in a restaurant. we liked the cheese plate (with the exception of the cracker with which it is served) and the ruck chikin plate. our friends ordered the mushroom pate and pastlon. bit expensive for some menu items, but the trip worth. we were informed that the entire menu was vegan at the time of our visit.

Blood root is amazing in the sense that they are inexorably fearless to be themselves. the women who work there are strong, inspiring, and I absolutely love them for it. I have always heard great things about her and finally found myself trying her when they had an Ethiopian food. highly recommended if they manage to catch them when they offer this. my friend and I have desserted the pineapple on the cake and the chocolate devastation cake. both were great, but pricy and small (about $10 for each piece). they have a pretty sitting area in the free and cats! the cats that strip the restaurant are incredibly sweet. the interior of the restaurant is beautiful, quirky and full of personality.

Got the jerk chick'n, lasagna, and chocolate cake. Overall the food was good but expensive. It is self serve (no wait staff). The inside is very cool, full of historical pictures of women and a book shop is attached. Located on the water, so nice outside seating if you ar okay with the owners cats.
