Road Runner - Bridgeport

The menu features a Tex-Mex theme with some intriguing options. My wife ordered the Birria Tacos, I chose the Stacked Enchiladas, and my daughter went with the Birria Ramen. The food came out promptly, but it initially appeared somewhat rushed. The tacos were “good,” but my wife only managed to finish one out of the two. The sides were decent enough to eat. The Birria Ramen resembled more of a spaghetti dish topped with Birria meat sauce, served in a broth. My daughter barely managed to eat 2-3 spoonfuls before giving up. As for my Stacked Enchiladas, they weren’t really enchiladas at all; instead, they were flat crispy tostada chips piled high. The dish was quite messy, featuring black beans, scant diced chicken that lacked flavor, and what can only be described as a cheese sauce stew occupying the deep plate. It was very sloppy, hard to eat, and completely devoid of flavor. I thought I might have lost my sense of taste due to illness, but it turned out to be the overwhelming lack of seasoning combined with too much soupy cheese. On a positive note, the drink menu is excellent, with a great selection of beers! The staff was friendly, and the service was commendable. I may consider returning if the band we enjoyed performs again, as I'm willing to give the menu another chance.

The service was great but the food was not very good. The chicken quesadilla tasted like it had cheese whiz on it. The margaritas were average but definitely not worth the price.

We had a fantastic experience at the restaurant! The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time there, and our server was simply wonderful.

Great food, reasonable prices, and friendly service. This neighborhood restaurant is definitely a winner!

Food was great, drink specials were great, service was super slow, the place was so loud we were shouting to eachother and food took a while to come out. Loved being able to make/modify a reservation online. Overall would maybe give it another chance or just do takeout.
